APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If a user attempts to use the migration wizard to migrate a
listener port for the Default JMS Provider (SIBus) to an
activation specification the attempt will fail because the
migration function only supports migration of WMQ listener
    ports.

In such a case the CWMSR0063E error message that is displayed
is misleading because it indicates that the connection factory
    does not exist.

    * ports to activation specs is for WMQ *

    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
The administration console provides a function to migrate
WebSphere MQ listener ports to activation specifications. The
function is only applicable to listener ports that use
WebSphere MQ as the JMS Provider. If a listener port for the
default JMS Provider (SIB) is selected then the function
fails, reporting message CWMSR0063E which indicates that the
connection factory specified does not exist, which is
    misleading.

Problem conclusion

  • Message text, explanation and user action for message
CWMSR0063E was updated to better indicate that only a
WebSphere MQ message listener port can be migrated to an
activation specification by the migration function.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 8.5.5.11 and 9.0.0.2. Please refer to the
