There is currently no reason to configure an ORB with name other than defaultOrb. Problem conclusion
Application client support has been modified to explicitly depend only on the correctly named defaultOrb and ignore any other configured ORB instances. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 16.0.0.3.
