    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Applications may not restart when a *
    * user feature is removed *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When a user feature contains a resource adapter application and
    specifies that applications should be restarted as a result of
    removing the feature, removing it will cause other applications
    deployed on the system to stop but they will not start again
    without restarting the server.

Problem conclusion

  • When the user feature was removed, the application manager would
    wait for the removed resource adapter to restart before starting
    the other applications that were stopped. With this fix, the
    application manager will no longer wait for the removed resource
    adapter to start.

    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
    pack 17.0.0.4. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for
