Error description
When defining two or more REST-servlets in the web.xml that uses the same Application subclass only one of the REST-servlets can be accessed, the other produces the following error when access from e.g. a web browser: Error 404: javax.servlet.UnavailableException: SRVE0200E: Servlet [com.ibm.websphere.jaxrs.server.IBMRestServlet]: Could not find required class - com.ibm.websphere.jaxrs.server.IBMRestServlet

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server Liberty JAX-RS 2.0 * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: If the servlet class * * com.ibm.websphere.jaxrs.server.IBMRestS * * ervlet is specified more than once in * * web.xml, and each occurence is mapped * * to a different URL, some URLs might not * * be accessible. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Specifying com.ibm.websphere.jaxrs.server.IBMRestServlet multiple times in web.xml, each with different servlet mappings, might result in only one of the mappings working correctly. Attempting to access the others might return an http 404 error code.
Problem conclusion
The problem occurred because JAX-RS URL mappings were stored internally in a map keyed on class name, so it was not possible to have more than one mapping for the same servlet class. To resolve the issue, the software has been updated so each class name now has a list of URL mappings. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 16.0.0.4.
