PI72154: 'BIND PASSWORD' IS "PRE-POPULATED" INCORRECTLY IN VMM PANEL AND AUTHENTICATION ERROR COMES UP

Error description

When a user tries to apply changes on the VMM panel they get an
authentication error because the "*******" is being passed in
as the password, which is obviously incorrect. There is no
clear indication which field in the ldap security section is
causing the authentication fail. The workaround forces the user
to clear the 'bind password' field, re-enter the correct
password, and apply the changes. This is an issue in V7 - V9.

Currently, the VMM panel is failing when modifications to
security configuration of the LDAP are made. If the bind
password is not modified, but another section is, an
authentication error will occur when the user clicks 'Apply'.
This is because the bind password field is being pre-populated
with the obfuscated password (*******), and that literal string
is being passed as a parameter to the admin tasks.

Problem conclusion

You can now apply changes to the security configuration of an
LDAP using the VMM panel and without getting an authentication
error.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 7.0.0.43, 8.0.0.13, 8.5.5.12, and 9.0.0.3. Please
