Error description

  • During a migration shared libraries, resource files (database
driver jars), and key/trust files do not get correctly copied
to the new WebSphere Application Server environment. This can
happen when the profile name doesn't match the profile's
directory name and the machineChange flag is set to true
    (remote migration).

    ****************************************************************
    WASPostUpgrade trace will show
    com.ibm.wsspi.migration.document.exceptions.NotFoundException
errors and files referenced by configuration xml will be
missing after a migration. This problem only occurs when the
WebSphere profile name doesn't match the profile's directory
name and machineChange is set to true (remote migration).

Problem conclusion

  • The WASPostUpgrade code has been updated to correctly map the
profile name and profile directory name during remote
migrations when linking files from the migration backup
directory to the new WebSphere profile.
