APAR status

Error description

• Caching Proxy will accept HTTP request lines that have
  extraneous whitespace. RFC 7230 states that there should
  only be a single whitespace separating the request line
  arguments.
  

Local fix

  HTTP request lines with extra whitespaces should not be
  handled by IBM Caching Proxy. A 400 "Bad Request" response
  status code should be returned instead.
  

Problem conclusion

• IBM Caching Proxy will no longer accept invalid request lines
  containing extra spaces. Caching Proxy will now return a 400
  error is now returned back to the client.
  
  The fix will be included in IBM Caching Proxy fixpacks:
  - 9.0.0.4
  - 8.5.5.12
  - 8.0.0.14
