Error description

  • When attempting to execute a purge command for a Java Batch
job instance, the purge command can fail if any of the job
executions did not initialize correctly due to an extremely
early failure. When this happens, the purge command will
return a message such as "The request cannot be completed
because the job execution did not run on this server." even
though the execution never actually ran. This is because the
failure to initialize prevents the code from correctly
determining which server the job execution ran on.

    ****************************************************************
When attempting to execute a purge command for a Java Batch job
instance, the purge command can fail if any of the job
executions did not initialize correctly due to an early failure
(like an incorrect application name). When this happens, the
purge command will return a message such as "The request cannot
be completed because the job execution did not run on this
server." even though the execution never actually ran. This is
because the failure to initialize prevents the code from
correctly determining which server the job execution ran on.
