Error description

In some cases, the http client sends back the WASPostParam
cookie even though Application Server sent a cookie deletion
message. This produces some unexpected results in the
WebSphere security code, notably changing the request method
from GET to POST

There is a situation that an HTTP client might send back a
cookie which the WebSphere Application Server sent a deletion
message. When this case happens, while processing the invalid
WASPostParam cookie, the runtime code alters the HTTP method
from GET to POST. As a result, the servlet might return some
error because of an unexpected HTTP method.

Problem conclusion

With this fix, the HTTP method stays the same.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 8.5.5.12, 9.0.0.4 and Liberty 17.0.0.2. Please refer
