Error description

When JAX-WS Web service calls are invoked asynchronously
from multiple threads, the response from Web service
provider slows down significantly after a while and some Web
service calls take about 5 minutes to complete.

When JAX-WS Web service calls are invoked asynchronously from
multiple threads, the response from Web service provider slows
down significantly after a while and some Web service calls take
about 5 minutes to complete.

Problem conclusion

The JAXB performance problem was fixed by modifying the Web
service CXF code that creates and caches the JAXB contexts in
such a way that it avoids multiple Web service calls from being
blocked on each other when loading the Java classes during
context creation.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
pack 17.0.0.2.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for
