APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Specifying JSPs or other classes that cannot be loaded as
servlet classes within the web.xml of a JAXRS application
will cause the application to fail to start with a
    ClassNotFoundException.
This only applies to web.xml files where the servlet class
is not specified but servlet name is (such as with a JSP).

This only applies to web.xml files where the servlet class is

Problem conclusion

  • The IBM JAX-RS logic has been altered to ignore classes, such as
JSPs, that cannot be loaded while processing the web.xml
conents and to continue with application start processing.
