Error description

Edge CBRServer V9 on AIX using its installed Java 8.

cbrcontrol executor start
Error: Executor was not started.
cbrcontrol cluster add <clustername>
Executor is not running.  Use the executor start command.

Dispatcher's DSServer seems ok and Executor will start for
DSServer.

The V9 CBRServer can start Executor if Java 7 or 6 is used

The executor will fail to start on AIX when CBR is used with
Java8.

Problem conclusion

The executor of the content based routing component of the IBM
WebSphere Application Server Load Balancer uses shared memory
and the memory space area conflicts with shared memory used by
Java8. Set an environment variable to prevent this conflict.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 8.0.0.14, 8.5.5.12 and 9.0.0.4.  Please refer to the

Temporary fix

Remove memory model settings (export LDR_CNTRL=MAXDATA=xxx)
from cbrserver script and set EXTSHM=ON. If set within
cbrserver, export EXTSHM.
