Error description

  • The customer may see problems in the form of missing groups,
    missing users, incorrect group membership, failed
    authentication and other unspecified behavior when their
    LDAP entities contain RDN's that should be escaped via RFC
    2253, Section 2.4. These characters include:
    
    * a space or "#" character occurring at the beginning of the
    string
    * a space character occurring at the end of the string
    * one of the characters ",", "+", """, "\", "<", ">" or ";"

Problem conclusion

  • The ldapRegistry feature was updated to properly process the
    characters specified in RFC 2253, Section 2.4.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
    pack 17.0.0.2.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for
