Error description

  • For the parameters of "access to internal server classes",
    there are cases where setting values are not displayed
    correctly
    depending on screen route.

    When "access to internal server class" is set to "restrict",

    Routes indicated correctly as "restrict":
    Top screen> (From left menu) Server> Server type>
    WebSphere Application Server> Target Application Server name

    Case where the actual is "restrict", but it seems to be
    "Allow":
    Top screen> (From left menu) Server> All servers> Target
    application
    server

    It is seen as a problem of screen display.

    * Background/Goal:
    Both routes behave similarly.
    * Date and Time/Frequency:
    Always.
    * Reproduction Steps:
    I believe that you can reproduce in your environment using
    AdminConsole.

    1(Preparation):
    *Show at Admin Console
    Top screen> (From left menu) Server> Server type>
    WebSphere Application Server> Target Application Server name
    * Change "access to internal server classes" to ""restrict"
    * Press OK to save the setting.
    2. Please confirm that the settings visible from the
    following
    screen
    are different.
    Routes indicated correctly as "restrict":
    Top screen> (From left menu) Server> Server type>
    WebSphere Application Server> Target Application Server name
    Case where the actual is "restrict", but it seems to be
    "Allow":
    Top screen> (From left menu) Server> All servers>
    Target application server

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When accessing a Websphere Server from the All Servers page, the
    internal access mode drop down does not reflect the true state.
    The correct setting can only be found by visiting the server
    page by navigating through the Servers > Websphere Application
    Server page.

Problem conclusion

  • A program defect was found which failed to pass the option in
    the page correctly. This was corrected and now all relevant
    fields are displayed in the correct settings.

    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
    pack 8.5.5.13 and 9.0.0.5. Please refer to the Recommended
