Error description

  • The target profile for federated nodes are created with a temp
cellname which is to be renamed during migration to the
cellname used by the Dmgr. The migration failed with the
FileNotFoundException thrown from WVE renameCell code.
However, during the migration of the federated node, the cell
    is renamed.

The migration failed with the following FileNotFoundException:
    [08/28/2017 10:22:45:788 CDT] MIGR0304I: The AppSrv01Sync
profile in the previous application server environment is
being migrated into the AppSrv01 profile.
    java.io.FileNotFoundException:
    C:\AWAS90.5\d28.04\profiles\AppSrv01\config\cells\timpanogos3Nod
e03Cell\overlaynodes.config (The system cannot find the file
    specified.t
It is because the migration has invoked the admin renameCell
command to rename cell before a node was federated to dmgr,
but the underneatch XD renameCell command has expected to
rename cell occurred in a federated node configuration, hence,
the files did not exist due to those files are generated only
    in the federated node configuration.

Problem conclusion

  • It is a bug in the admin renameCell command and it should
invoke the XD renameCell to update configuration file only it
is in a federated node configuration.
