APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • CDI is unable to handle a CDI class being dynamically updated,
    so as a precaution CDI applications will only allow full
    restarts.

    Because of that the following exceptions maybe happen:

    Caused by: java.rmi.RemoteException: ; nested exception is:
     java.lang.IllegalStateException: Managed Class

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    CDI can end up with stale data when a single module is
    restarted in an application that uses CDI.

Problem conclusion

  • CDI now sets a flag on applications that causes a single
    module restart to trigger a full application restart instead.

    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
