Problem conclusion
Apply APAR PI88036 to enable the server to make available classes in package com.ibm.websphere.product.metadata.im when using the WASProduct API. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix packs 8.5.5.13 and 9.0.0.6.
