PI88123: JPA FAILURE WHEN DEFINING DATA SOURCE CUSTOM PROPERTY JDBCTIMINGTHRESHOLD

Error description

1. Following patching the development environment to WebSphere
8.5.5.12, was testing new troubleshooting feature using custom
property
JDBCTimingThreshold as discussed here:  https://www.ibm.

.iseries.doc/ae/rtrb_jdbclong.html

2.  When setting the property as a persistent setting to Oracle
data sources, receive a warning: DSRA8020E: Warning: The
property 'JDBCTimingThreshold' does not exist on the DataSource
class oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleConnectionPoolDataSource.

3.  Also within one application, using the property results in
application query errors due to org.apache.openjpa.persistence.
ArgumentException which is caused by java.util.

Problem conclusion

JDBC Timing was fixed to appropriately handle special
characters.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
