APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • ODC sometimes has incorrect application information.
Changes are needed to "harden" the ODC.

Local fix

  • stop the entire WAS cell.
start the entire WAS cell.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The On-Demand Configuration (ODC) data  *
*                      retains application edition information *
*                      for editions that are no longer         *
*                      deployed in the environment.            *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
The existing data consistency checks with-in the On-Demand
Configuration (ODC) component may potentially allow for the
retention of data representing editions of applications that are
no longer deployed in the environment.

Problem conclusion

  • The On-Demand Configuration (ODC) data consistency checks have
been updated to remove the potential of retaining data
pertaining to applications editions that are no longer deployed
in the environment.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
pack 8.5.5.13 and 9.0.0.7.  Please refer to the Recommended
Updates page for delivery information:
