APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The embedded Java 8 should be installed if install WAS
  8.5.5.11 and up on Ubuntu 16.4 with Installation Manager
  silent mode and option -properties user.wasjava=java8 or
  response file mode and setting <data key='user.wasjava'
  value='java8'/>. However embedded Java 6 is installed instead.

  Ubuntu 16.4 is supported by WAS 8.5.5.11. However, it is not
  included in the WAS OS pre-request checking bundle.
  Therefore, when install WAS on Ubuntu 16.4, Installation
  Manager will issue a WARNING message. In Installation
  Manager silent mode, option user.wasjava=java8 is ignored by
  Installation Manager after it issues the WARNING message.
  

Problem conclusion

• The fix is to include Ubuntu 16.4 in the WAS OS pre-request
  checking bundle.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 8.5.5.13.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
