APAR status

Error description

  • In certain scenarios when a Subject is renewed, the AuthCache
    will not be updated with the renewed Subject. This could cause
    subsequent logins referencing the old Subject to fail, even
    though the Subject is still valid.

    *                      renewed subject cannot be found in      *
    *                      the authentication cache.               *

    After an existing subject is renewed, a cache look up key also
    needs to be updated since the contents of the subject were
    changed. However, do to a code defect, the cache look up key
    was not updated. As a result, then a login with LTPAToken
    cookie was failed even the cookie is valid.
    

Problem conclusion

  • With this fix, a cache look up key is properly updated after
    renewing a subject.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 8.5.5.14 and 9.0.0.9.  Please refer to the Recommended
