  When creating a resource adapter's ManagedConnectionFactory,
  the following NullPointerException could occur.
  J2CA0009E: An exception occurred while trying to instantiate
  the ManagedConnectionFactory class
  com.ibm.connector2.cics.ECIManagedConnectionFactory used by
  resource j2c/connectors : java.lang.NullPointerException at
  com.ibm.ejs.j2c.J2CUtilityClass.createMCFEntry()
  

Problem conclusion

• The ManagedConnectionFactory creation code was updated to
  check the configuration and prevent the NullPointerException
  from occurring.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 8.5.5.14, and 9.0.0.9.  Please refer to the
