Error description

1) connect wsadmin from WAS 5.1 to a dmgr running on WAS 6.1

2) Run command:

  wsadmin>set repos [$AdminControl completeObjectName
type=ConfigRepository,process=dmgr,*]

----> this will print the object as output <------

wsadmin>$AdminControl invoke $repos refreshRepositoryEpoch

WASX7015E: Exception running command: "$AdminControl invoke
$repos
refreshRepositoryEpoch"; exception information:
 java.lang.NullPointerException: java.lang.NullPointerException

3) A nullpointer exception is thrown while running the above
command.

4) Perform the same steps, connect wsadmin from WAS 6.1 dmgr to
another WAS 6.1 dmgr

The command runs without excpetion and we get an output as an
integer which is the expected output.

To recreate this problem:

1) connect wsadmin from Application Server 5.1 to a
dmgr running on Application Server 6.1 or 6.0.2
2) Run the following commands:
wsadmin>set repos [$AdminControl completeObjectName
type=ConfigRepository,process=dmgr,*]
wsadmin>$AdminControl invoke $repos refreshRepositoryEpoch
3) A nullpointer exception is thrown while running the above
set of commands.

Problem conclusion

The code has been fixed so that wsadmin from WebSphere
Application Server 5.1 to dmgr running on WebSphere
Application Server version 6.1 or 6.0.2 will not throw a
NullPointerException and will display the expected results
for the Refresh Repository operation.
This fix will be provided in fixpacks 6.0.2.21 and 6.1.0.11
