Error description

The JavaServer Pages (JSP) Specification Version 2.0 does not
specify pageContext as an implicit variable in JSP tag
libraries, therefore tag files should be allowed to use
'pageContext' as an explicit variable name.
What IBM WebSphere Application Server does is makes implicit
use of this variable name when generating source for tag
files which will cause a compile error if the name is
also being called explicitly.  As per the JSP Specification,
this is not the correct behavior.

Local fix

Avoid making explicit use of 'pageContext' name in tag files.

During the translation phase of a tag file to be compiled, the
JSP Container implicitly uses a variable named 'pageContext'
for the PageContext object.  The use of 'pageContext' as an
implicit variable name in tag files is a violation of the JSP
Specification.  It is however, an implicit variable in JSP
files.
Compilation errors will occur for applications that use a
local 'pageContext' variable in their tag file.

Problem conclusion

The JSP Container code generation classes were modified to
remove the use of the 'pageContext' variable name in the
generated Java code for tag files.  There are two methods to
enable the new behavior, either by setting a WebContainer
custom property or by setting a JSP attribute in the
application.

To enable this behavior by setting a WebContainer custom
property:

The WebContainer custom property is called:
com.ibm.wsspi.jsp.modifyPageContextVariable
And it must be set to 'true'.

To enable this behavior by setting a JSP attribute in the
application:
Modify the application's ibm-web-ext.xmi file and add the
following JSP attribute:
modifyPageContextVariable
And set the value to 'true'.
An example entry for the JSP attribute is:
<jspAttributes xmi:id="JSPAttribute_1"
name="modifyPageContextVariable" value="true"/>
