Error description

The Websphere Extended Deployment z/OS On Demand Configuration
(ODC) proxy code interferes with the Websphere Application
Server Distributed Base Edition z/OS ODC proxy code, resulting
in failed RMI registration invocations and hung tasks on
shutdown.

The Websphere Extended Deployment product utilizes a
conflicting namespace for object name bindings which results
in an error when the server is being shutdown.

Problem conclusion

The conflict Websphere Network Deployment component binding
will no longer occur when the Websphere Extended Deployment
product is installed.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 6.1.0.21 and 7.0.0.1. Please refer to the
