Error description

WSDL2Java generates java classnames (Web services artifacts)
with random numerics in their generated names.  This might cause
failures during Web services execution in WebSphere Application
server runtime.

Local fix

Generate Web Services artifacts wia wsdl2java from WebSphere
V6.0.2.23 or older release.

Problem summary

After upgrading to either WebSphere Application Server
V6.1.0.15 or V6.0.2.25, a user might observe the WSDL2Java
tool generating classes with names that are different than
before the upgrade.

For example, consider a WSDL containing this schema type:

   <xsd:complexType name="HelloWorldGreetingRequest">
    <xsd:sequence>
      <xsd:element minOccurs="1" name="greetingType">
        <xsd:simpleType>
          <xsd:restriction base="xsd:string">
            <xsd:enumeration value="hello"/>
            <xsd:enumeration value="howdy"/>
            <xsd:enumeration value="hi"/>
          </xsd:restriction>
        </xsd:simpleType>
      </xsd:element>
    </xsd:sequence>
   </xsd:complexType>

The child element greetingType encloses an anonymous schema
type definition; the type is anonymous because the
xsd:simpleType element has no name attribute.

Prior to V6.0.2.25 and V6.1.0.15 , WSDL2Java
mapped this anonymous type to a Java class with name
HelloWorldGreetingRequest_greetingType. But in V6.0.2.25 and
V6.1.0.15, WSDL2Java might generate the Java class with name
_HelloWorldGreetingRe_587652598_greetingType, where the
numbers "587652598" are the hash code representation of the
String "HelloWorldGreetingRequest."

This might cause compilation errors in existing web services
applications that reference classes by their previous names,
such as HelloWorldGreetingRequest_greetingType.

Problem conclusion

WSDL2Java was changed to not use this anonymous type notation
when the outer enclosing complexType's name is less than 80
characters in length.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fixpacks 6.0.2.33, 6.1.0.23 and 7.0.0.1.  Please refer to the
