PK70809: CWSIP0002E ERRORS IN THE LOG AND MESSAGES BUILD UP ON THE DESTINATION

Error description

Messages stopped flowing over a an inter-bus link.

The following error was seen in the JVM logs of the
application server hosting the messaging engine on the
receiving side of the inter-bus link:
CWSIP0002E: An internal messaging error occurred in
 com.ibm.ws.sib.processor.impl.store.items.MessageItem.
 registerMessageEventListener, 1:1559:1.210.1.4, 8

The following FFDCs were seen:

The CWSIP0002E message that is seen in the SystemOut.log is:

CWSIP0002E: An internal messaging error occurred in
 com.ibm.ws.sib.processor.impl.store.items.MessageItem.
 registerMessageEventListener, 1:1559:1.210.1.4, 8

This issue can occur for destinations that have multiple
active consumers and a high throughput of messages arriving
over a messaging engine to messaging engine connection.

The issue occurred because code used to batch the receipt of
multiple messages into a single transaction was not thread safe.

Problem conclusion

This APAR resolves the issue by correcting the synchronization.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
