Error description

sibDDLGenerator in the WebSphere Application Server 6.1 has
not been updated to explicitly allow all of the
database releases listed in the application server detailed
system requirements. For example, the highest DB2 database
version for the tool is 8.1, and attempts to use a higher
version like 9.1 fail.

re-running sibDDLGenerator script without -version parameter
works .

Local fix

This apar will allow the sibDDLGenerator script to not output
a message indicating that a database is not supported but a
message to make sure the user consults the information center
about the usage of the script when configuring for certain
databases.

The SibDDLGenerator script has been updated to output a
message that will allow the user to refer to the information
center regarding the usage pattern expected for the database
that is been configured. This new message is:

CWSIS1595E: An invalid combination of parameters has been
specified, Database: {0}, version: {1}, platform: {2} . Refer
to the documentation for the correct parameters for your
database.

Problem conclusion

This APAR solves the problem.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fixpack 6.1.0.23 and 7.0.0.3.  Please refer to the Recommended
Updates

Temporary fix

Either rerun the script but omitting the version parameter or
just the highest version that the script understands for
your database based on the WebSphere documentation.
