The message
PROX0107W: The proxy-environment.xml file in the cell-scope
could not be located.
    Explanation This configuration doucument contains the
cell-wide definitions for proxy configuration. The file is
missing or corrupted.
    Action Review the Proxy server creation. Contact vendor if
the configuration has not been customized.

is misleading if the environment not set up with Genereic Server
Routing.  Needs to be updated.  The message can be written as
PROX0107W: The proxy-environment.xml file in the cell-scope
could not be located.
    Explanation This configuration document contains the
cell-wide definitions for proxy configuration if generic server
is defined. The file is missing or corrupted.
    Action Review the Proxy server creation. Contact vendor if
the configuration has not been customized.  If Generic server
routing is not used, this message can be ignored.

Local fix

For environments not using Generic Server Routing, this message
can be ignored.

The PROX0107W warning message is printed when proxy could not
locate the proxy environment configuration file
proxy-environment.xml. However, if generic server routing is
not used on the proxy server, the proxy-environment.xml  will
not be generated and thus this warning message should be
ignored.

Problem conclusion

The proxy resource file was modified to provide accurate
explanation for message PROX0107W.

Information Center, will be updated to read:

generic server routing rules are not defined.

APAR PK71323 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service
Level (Fix Pack) 6.1.0.23 of WebSphere Application Server V6.1
for z/OS.
