Error description

There is a problem while attempting to use the wsdeploy.sh tool
on WebSphere Application Server 7 for z/OS.  The problem is that
source files are getting generated with the wrong file
encoding (ASCII versus EBCDIC).  Adding
"-Dfile.encoding=ISO8859-1" to the wsdeploy script appears to
resolve the problem.

Recently the WSDL2Java tool was updated to generate source
files in UTF-8 to support bi-directional NLS characters.
Because the wsdeploy tool attempts to compile the WSDL2Java
generated code in the platform's default charset, this can
cause conflicts on platforms where UTF-8 is not the default
charset.

Changing the wsdeploy tool to compile under an ASCII charset
guarantees that the files generated by WSDL2Java are compiled
under the same charset as they were generated.

Problem conclusion

The wsdeploy tool has been updated to correctly compile under
an ASCII charset.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fixpack 7.0.0.1.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
