Error description

A null pointer exception is thrown when a UsernameToken does
not have basic authorization information in the bindings. The
condition should result in a UsernameToken with no username
and no password sent, instead a null pointer exception occurs.

A NullPointerException occurs when a UsernameToken does not
have basic authorization information in the WS-Security
bindings. This condition should result in a UsernameToken with
no username and no password sent, instead a null pointer
exception occurs.

The correct behavior should be to send the UsernameToken, and
then let the service's consumer determine the validity of the
token.

Problem conclusion

The WS-Security code was updated to not generate a
NullPointerException when generating a UsernameToken without a
username and password.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fixpack 7.0.0.1.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
