APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Proxy server begins returning 503s when configured in static DMZ
  mode, even when backend servers are accessible.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

  The On Demand Configuration component contains logic which
  marks servers it cannot reach as being down.  In a DMZ
  environment this results in all servers being marked down
  though they are able to serve HTTP requests.
  

Problem conclusion

• The On Demand Configuration logic will be modified to tolerate
  DMZ environments without marking disconnected servers as down.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fixpack 7.0.0.1.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
