Error description

When saving a business to a Universal Description, Discovery,
and Integration (UDDI) server that uses Derby as its
database, the following error may be returned:

E_fatalError (10500) Serious technical error has occurred
while processing the request. At least one service name is
required.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: An error may occur when saving a        *
*                      business to a UDDI server that uses     *
*                      Derby as its database.                  *

Changes to the isolation level for database updates within a
single transaction may cause only partial updates to the
database. This can leave the database in an inconsistent
state, and cause the following error during a save operation
for a business entity:

E_fatalError (10500) Serious technical error has occurred
while processing the request. At least one service name is
required.

Problem conclusion

A single isolation level is used throughout a transaction to
ensure consistency in database updates.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fixpack 7.0.0.1.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
