Closed as program error.
Error description
The wsadmin scripting command generated by the WebSphere Application Server administrative console (that is, command assistance command) for the Java Virtual Machine panel is incorrect. In particular, if the entries for the "Initial heap size" or "Maximum heap size" are blanked out, the resulting command assistance script command fails when used in wsadmin. Also, the command assistance that is generated for the "Classpath" and "Boot Classpath" fields does not remove any previous entries that were in these fields. Other panels, such as the JDBC Provider panel, also generate command assistance that does not remove any previous path entries.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: IBM WebSphere Application Server V7.0 users * * that use the administrative console to * * generate command assistance on the Java * * Virtual Machine panel or specific panels * * that contain paths. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The command assistance that is * * generated by the administrative * * console is incorrect. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The Application Server administrative console has the ability to generate wsadmin scripting commands that show how the last administrative console action could have been accomplished using wsadmin scripting. In the case of the Java Virtual Machine panel, the generated scripting command is incorrect. In particular, when the user blanked out the Initial heap size or the Maximum heap size, the generated wsadmin script command would fail when it was used in wsadmin. Also, the Classpath and Boot Classpath gave additive results when the generated script was used in wsadmin. In other words, you could never get rid of a previous classpath or boot classpath. There are other panels (JDBC Provider, Resource adapter, Extension MBean Provider) , that also give additive results for the paths when the generated script was used in wsadmin.
Problem conclusion
The administrative console was changed to fix these command assistance problems on the Java Virtual Machine, JDBC Provider, Resource adapter, and Extension MBean Provider detail panels. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fixpack 7.0.0.1.
