PK72121: NAME SPACE BINDING IDENTIFIER DOES NOT ALLOW CERTAIN CHARACTERS DURING EDIT OPERATION

Error description

The name space binding identifiers for String, Enterprise
Java Beans, CORBA and Indirect lookups allows certain
characters, such as  " < > % ' # $ @ / , but displays an error
if you edit that entry after creating it.

Local fix

Instead of editing an existing entry with one of those
characters, delete it, and create it again with the new values.

When you edit the the existing binding identifiers, there
is form validation performed via a validation.xml file that
should check for required entries. The validation.xml also had
mask validation being applied to the entry values, which
filters out certain characters. The mask validation should be
removed since identifiers are just displayed text in the
console and should allow all characters.

Problem conclusion

The mask validation has been removed from the validation.xml
file.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fixpacks 6.1.0.21 and 7.0.0.1.  Please refer to the Recommended
