Error description

On z/OS, if the customer changes the server specific short name
through the administrative console, the new value overwrites
the server generic short name as well.  This behavior can be
seen on Deployment Manager or Node Agent servers.

For Websphere management servers such as Deployment Manager
and Node agent, we were previously overwriting the server
generic short name with new values of the server specific
short name.  This was done because these management servers
could not be clustered.  However, we discovered that changing
the generic name along with the specific name causes the need
to create new security profiles.  Hence, we are not
automatically changing the generic name along with the
specific name anymore.

Problem conclusion

The code that changed the generic name of the Deployment
Manager and Node Agent has been removed.

APAR PK72415 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service
Level (Fix Pack) 67.0.0.1 of WebSphere Application Server
V7.0.0 for z/OS.
