Error description

Using Interent Explorer (the error does not occur on Firefox)
1. Install a JAX-WS application that contains a service client
(such as the WebSphere Samples application
JaxWSServiceSamples)
2. Navigate to Application > WebSphere enterprise application  >
JaxWSServicesSamples > Service client policy sets and
bindings
3. Select a service
4. Click Attach Client Policy Set and select a policy set
from the dropdown that contains the WS-Security policy type
( we used Username_WSSecurity_default ).  Do NOT click
Save.
5. Select the same service
6. Click Assign Binding > New Application Specific Binding...
7. Provide a binding Name and click Add > WS-Security
8. Click "Save directly to the master configuration" at the top
of the page.

Result:
Using Internet Explorer the page displays the message
"The page can not be displayed"

Clicking Save on the "New application specific
binding" panel causes an error in Internet Explorer.

1. Install any JaxWS application that contains service clients
(such as the JaxWSServicesSamples EAR from the WebSphere
Samples)
2. Navigate to Applications > WebSphere enterprise applications
> JaxWSServicesSamples > Service client policy sets and bindings
3. Select a service
4. Attach policy set Username_WSSecurity_default  ( do NOT
click "Save to master configuration" )
5. Select the same service
6. Click Assign Binding > New application specific binding
7. Fill in the Name field, and click Add > WS-Security
8. Click Save

Result:
In Internet Explorer, the user gets the message "The page can
not be displayed".  There is no error when using Firefox.

There are no logged problems or exceptions since it is
Internet Explorer having problems processing a very long
breadcrumb URL.

Problem conclusion

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fixpack 7.0.0.1.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
