Annotations are a standard mechanism of adding meta-data to
Java classes. You can use meta-data to simplify development
and deployment of JEE5 applications. Prior to the
introduction of Java language annotations, deployment
descriptors were the standard mechanism used by Java EE
components.  These deployment descriptors were mapped to XML
format, which facilitated their persistence. With WebSphere
Application Server version 7, the JEE5 annotation-based
meta-data is merged with the existing XML-based deployment
descriptor meta-data.

When annotations reside in classes that use shared libraries,
they may not install.

Problem conclusion

This issue was fixed by making the annotations processing
engine tolerate annotated classes using shared libraries
during application installation.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fixpack 7.0.0.1.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
