Error description

When running and internal test application on Turkish locale
(Turkish JVM) we get the following error:

It is causing the application not to run

Problem summary

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When a WebSphere Application Server     *
*                      is configured to run in Turkish         *
*                      locale, JPA application may fail to     *
*                      start.                                  *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

JPA application may fail because of one of the following
errors:
1) java.lang.NoSuchMethodException while processing
Runtime entity enhancement or
2) java.lang.IllegalArgumentException while parsing
wsjpa.AccessIntent persistence provider property for
"Incorrect Tasks option syntax".

In Turkish locale there are 2 forms of letter 'i' and
'I', a dotted and non-dotted forms. The
String.toLowerCase/toUpperCase methods perform the following
conversions:
toLowerCase( dotted     'I' ) -> dotted     'i'
toUpperCase( dotted     'i' ) -> dotted     'I'
toLowerCase( non-dotted 'I' ) -> non-dotted 'i'
toUpperCase( non-dotted 'i' ) -> non-dotted 'I'

However in non-Turkish locale, the regular 'i' and 'I'
are equivalent to the dotted 'i' and non-dotted 'I'.
Therefore converting regular letter 'i' and 'I' in
Turkish locale yields unexpected result.

In problem case 1), constructing a Java method named
"replaceIntField" using toUpperCase('i') yields
"replace?ntField", which caused a noSuchMethodException
during Reflection.

In problem case 2), parsing the AccessIntent property
String caused the "Isolation" keyword to become "?solation"
which does not match the correct Task option syntax.

Problem conclusion

Conversions have been corrected.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fixpack 7.0.0.1.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
