Error description

Specifying the URL endpoint to retrieve policy from WebSphere
Service Registry and Repository ( WSRR )fails.

I have installed JaxWSServicesSamples and applied the WS-RSP
policy to the service.  From the client I specify the 'Client
WS-Policy Control Properties' should retrieve a policy from a
URL via a HTTP GET using the panel:
Enterprise Applications > JaxWSServicesSamples > Service
client policy sets and bindings > Policies Applied

The URL I'm using is similar to:
https://server_name/WSRR/6.2/PolicyService/WSDL?bsrURI=3b9b493b-
278f-4f64.ba3f.dabd30da3f7e

The system currently appends a '?wsdl' to the URL string.
This reaults in an error.  When specifying a URL string the
system should not alter the contents.

When invoking this URL the WSRR requests authorization
credentials in the form of userid and password.  These are set
up in a Policy Set attached to the client.  Using the panel:
Enterprise Applications > JaxWSServicesSamples > Service
client policy sets and bindings > Client sample > HTTP
transport
I enter valid credentials.  These are not used to retrieve
policy from WSRR.

The invocation to the services fails.

The user has configured a Web Service client to use WS-RSP
policy. Additionally the ?Client WS-Policy Control Properties?
has been configured to retrieve a policy from a URL using the
panel in the Administrative Console

Enterprise Applications->application_name->Service client
policy sets and bindings->Policies applied

The URL being used is similar to
https://server_name/WSRR/6.2/PolicyService/WSDL?bsrURI=3b9b493b-
278f-4f64.ba3f.dabd30da3f7e

When invoking the client the WS-Policy currently appends a
??wsdl? to the URL string, which results in an error.

Problem conclusion

The Web Services Policy Service has been corrected so that a
??wsdl? is not appended to the specified URL when requesting
the WSDL

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fixpack 7.0.0.1.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
