Error description

In the WebSphere Application Server Administrative Console,
navigate to:
Resources> Resource adapters > J2C activation specifications >
myspecification.
The read-only drop down box for Message listener type
incorrectly shows 'Select...'.  This field is always
read-only, however, it should display the same Message
listener type that is displayed in the collection on the
previous panel.

The drop down box for Message listener type is read-only,
however, it should display a specific Message listener type
for the activation specification, instead of 'Select...'.

To enhance the user experience, the administrative console
appends "supported by" and the activation specification class
to the end of the message listener type.  The problem occurred
because the "supported by" portion was left out when the
activation specification class was being appended. The
resulting message listener type string did not match any of
the options in the drop-down list causing Select? to be
selected by default.

This only causes a problem with the way the message listener
type data is viewed in the administrative console.  Making
changes to the activation specification does not modify the
message listener type recorded in the configuration. This
problem does not cause any configuration problems.

Problem conclusion

The problem has been resolved and the fix for this APAR is
currently targeted for inclusion in fixpack 7.0.0.1.  Please
