Error description

Channel framework changed some of the APIs between version
6.1 and 7.0 of WebSphere Application Server. This change caused
the On Demand Router (ODR) within WebSphere Extended
Deployment version 6.1 to break because it changed the method
signature.

Version 7.0 the method signatures for a few of the Cookie APIs
within the Channel Framework. This new method signature used a
better typed variable. Once this was changed the ODR broke
because it used the older variable type because that is what
was used in version 6.1

Problem conclusion

We added back the original API method signature while also
adding in the new one. When the old one is called it type
casts the old object into the new one and calls the new API.
This maintains the new API while still allowing use of the old
API without breaking anything. There was also a Proxy change
included to fix an implementation of our Cookie API

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fixpack 7.0.0.1.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
