Error description

Using SIBus Web services with WebSphere AppServer 6.1 Web
services Gateway generates the following exception when a
response is received which includes a SOAP encoded array of
xsd:anyType in a Web service.
com.ibm.websphere.sib.exception.SIMessageParseException:
CWSIF0271E:Unable to parse message: exception java.lang.
ClassCastException:org.eclipse.emf.ecore.xml.type.impl.
AnyTypeImpl incompatible with commonj.sdo.DataObject...

Local fix

Potential workaround
To enable this approach in this version of the gateway, use the
administrative console to set the custom property
com.ibm.websphere.wsgw.mapSoapBodyNamespace to false on each
inbound service that is associated with a gateway service.
This can be set as follows:
Buses > [Bus name] > Web service gateway instances > [Gateway
name] >
Gateway services > [Service name] > Inbound web service
Buses > [Bus name] > Web service gateway instances > [Gateway
name] >
Gateway services > [Service name] > Inbound web service
enablement >
Customer Properties > new - Then set the property.
.
Setting this property to false stops the mapping of the gateway
servicenamespace to the namespace that is specified in the
gateway instance.

A fix was created at the point of failure for this specific
case which sets the type so that the error is no longer
generated.

Problem conclusion

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fixpack 6.1.0.23 and 7.0.0.3.  Please refer to the Recommended
