Error description

In WebSphere Extended Deployment, running on top of WebSphere
Application Server Network Deployment V7.0.0.0, inbound
Session  Initiation Protocol (SIP) messages are not getting
routed from the On Demand Router (ODR) into the application
servers.

When the SIP container starts up, it initializes the SIP
channel chains. Correct initialization of the channel
chains in the container triggers a notification to the
front-end proxy. The proxy uses this notification to learn
about the endpoints of the container. This information is
needed in the proxy, during runtime, for routing inbound
messages to the container.

Problem conclusion

The problem was fixed in the SIP (Session Initiation Protocol)
container to initialize the channel chains correctly, and in a
way that would trigger the required notification to the
front-end proxy. This fix allows the proxy to route inbound
messages into the container.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fixpack 7.0.0.1.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
