Error description

When DB2 version 9 for z/OS is used to host the data store for
a messaging engine, that messaging engine fails to
start with the following error message:

CWSIS1530E: The data type, 12, was found instead of the
expected type, -1, for column, URI, in table,
<Schema name>.SIBCLASSMAP.

When a messaging engine that is using a data store is started,
it checks that the columns in the tables that make up the data
store are of the expected type.

When a data store is created on DB2 for z/OS, the URI column
of the SIBCLASSMAP table is defined as type VARCHAR(2048).

In DB2 8 for z/OS, varying length character strings between
256 and 32704 characters in length are classed as type
LONGVARCHAR, therefore the URI column of the SIBCLASSMAP
table of a data store on DB2 8 for z/OS is of type
LONGVARCHAR.

However in DB2 9 for z/OS LONGVARCHAR has become VARCHAR as
the LONGVARCHAR type has been removed.

A messaging engine that is using a data store on DB2 for z/OS
checks that the URI column of the SIBCLASSMAP table is of type
LONGVARCHAR, which is true with DB2 8 for z/OS but false
with DB2 9 for z/OS. Consequently the check fails and
produces the CWSIS1530E error.

Problem conclusion

The fix for this APAR is to allow the URI column of the
SIBCLASSMAP table in a data store on DB2 for z/OS to be of type
VARCHAR or LONGVARCHAR.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fixpack 6.0.2.35, 6.1.0.23 and 7.0.0.3.  Please refer to the
