Error description

When administrative security is turned on, you can not invoke
methods on PmiRmJmxService MBean from within the application
server;

for example, isRmEnabled.

You get the following exception:

javax.management.JMRuntimeException: ADMN0022E: Access is
denied for the isRmEnabled operation on PmiRmJmxService MBean
because of insufficient or empty credentials.

The AdminService and AdminServiceFactory give no way to supply
credentials, nor would a server component have credentials in
any case, so this error makes no sense.

when trying to get the tracelevel which is an attribute
of the PmiJmxService MBean, an exception similar to:
ADMN0022E: Access is denied for the getTraceLevel operation on
PmiRmJmxService MBean because of insufficient or empty
credential
is thrown when security is enabled.

Problem conclusion

The PMI request metrics code has been changed in such a way
that it will return the required trace level for the MBean.
The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 6.1.0.23 and 7.0.0.5.  Please refer to the
