PK75085: AFTER CUSTOMIZING A SECURITY ATTRIBUTE, THE SECURITY DOMAIN PANEL DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY SELECT THE CUSTOMIZED RADIO BUTTON

Error description

The problem is recreated by following these steps:

1. Navigate to Security > Security domains and click New.
2. Fill in a name and click Apply
3. Under security attributes, expand the one of the sections
4. Do not select the "Customize for this domain" radio button.
Instead, select the link to customize the domain
5. Customize the domain and then use the breadcrumb to go back

When returning back to the security domain panel, the Use
global security settings button is still selected.  However,
since you just customized the security settings, the panel
should automatically select the Customize for this domain
radio button.  Now, if you do not manually select the
Customize for this domain radio button and apply the changes,
then the customized settings are lost.

The customized information is erased when the 'Use global
security settings' radio button is selected and either 'Apply'
or 'OK' is clicked from the security domain panel. That is the
normal behavior. However, after customizing a security domain
setting, the 'Use global security settings' radio button
should not be selected. Instead, 'Customize for this domain'
should be selected. After customizing, the radio button was
not being set to 'Customize for this domain'. This could lead
to a user accidentally erasing data that was just customized, if
they clicked 'Apply' or 'OK' without first selecting
'Customize for this domain'.

Problem conclusion

The 'Customize for this domain' radio button is automatically
selected whenever a user customizes a security domain setting.
This will prevent a user from accidentally erasing settings
that were just customized.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fixpack 7.0.0.3.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
