Error description

A Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) application is trying to
send out a request with the following request-URI:
sip:somewhere;transport=tls

The SIP container is locating the server using RFC 3263 rules,
and then sends out the message on TLS, as expected, but
changes the URI to:
sips:somewhere;transport=tcp

The problem is changing the scheme from "sip" to "sips".
The container must not modify the scheme.

The problem occurred when the SIP application requested to
send a message over TLS, while the request URI contains a
"sip" scheme. For example:
sip:somewhere;transport=tls

In some cases, the container sent the request over TLS, but
changed the URI to:
sips:somewhere;transport=tcp

In other cases, the container sent the request over TCP, and
changed the URI to:
sip:somewhere;transport=tcp

It is legitimate to correct the transport parameter from "tls"
to "tcp", because "tls" is not a valid transport parameter
value, according to RFC 3261.
However, the container should send such a request on TLS,
without modifying the scheme.

Problem conclusion

The problem is fixed in the SIP (Session Initiation Protocol)
container, to send such a request over TLS, without modifying
the scheme.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fixpack 6.1.0.23 and 7.0.0.1.  Please refer to the Recommended
