Error description

This APAR will cover Job Manager Console Fixes going into fix
pack 7.0.0.3. The issues include:
1. When the Maximum database results configuration is set too
low (<50) then error are reported on the submit targets job
wizard page and the status page when navigating there from the
job wizard.
2. When a node name contains special or multibyte characters,
the console does send it correctly to the resources page when
navigating via the dropdown button.
3. On the resources page, if you set the preferences and press
Apply, the page does not always use the same query and the
contents of the collection can change.
4. Field help on for the application install location on the
installApplication job was truncated.
On the Deployment Manager console, this APAR fixes a script
error on the File Transfer Service panel.

*                      errors from tasks when the maximum      *
*                      database results is configured less     *
*                      than 50.                                *
*                      2. Node names with special characters   *
*                      were not being handled correctly when   *
*                      navigating from the node to the         *
*                      resource panel.                         *
*                      3. On the resources panel, changing     *
*                      the collection preferences caused the   *
*                      contents of the collection to change.   *
*                      4. Field help that contained quotes     *
*                      on the installApplication job was       *
*                      getting truncated.                      *
*                      5. The File Transfer Services panel     *
*                      in the deployment manager console was   *
*                      reporting a scripting error.            *

* RECOMMENDATION:  1. The console will not allow the user to   *
*                  set a maximum results value greater than    *
*                  the configured maximum database results.    *
*                  Also, the console will use the maximum      *
*                  database results instead of hard coded      *
*                  values in its queries.                      *
*                  2. All parameters passed on requests        *
*                  that can have special characters must be    *
*                  encoded.                                    *
*                  3. The console must save the resource       *
*                  query information earlier so that it is     *
*                  available when preferences are changed.     *
*                  4. Any double quotes found in job           *
*                  parameter field description metadata will   *
*                  be encoded.                                 *
*                  5. Set the correct focus field for the      *
*                  File Transfer Services panel.               *

1. Step 2 (choose targets) of the Submit Job wizard displayed,
the job status panel and the group detail panels could
display errors when the maximum results configuration was set
low. The message could be an internal error or a message
saying the maximum results was too high.  The console will not
automatically use the smaller of the maximum results on a
search page and the configured maximum results.  If the
configured maximum results is lower than the number of groups
defined, they will not all be displayed on Step 2 of the
submit wizard. A warning message will be displayed.
2. When you have nodes with special characters on the node
collection, select one and use the drop down button to display
its resources.  The query will come up empty and the node name
will be displayed in the Find portion of the panel with
corrupted characters.
3. After navigating from the node panel to the resources panel
in the previous scenario, if the search results was limited,
for example only applications, and then you press Apply on the
resource collection preferences button, all resources would be
displayed.  The previous filter of only applications would be
lost.
4. Any job parameter field descriptions on Step 3 of the Submit
Job wizard with quotes are truncated.  The specific example
found was the install location on the installApplication job.
5. If the browser is configured to show scripting errors, the
File Transfer Services panel will show a scripting error
when it is first rendered.

Problem conclusion

1. The console will use the configured maximum database
results if it is lower than the amount requested.
2. All parameters passed on requests that can have special are
now encoded on the URL.
3. The console saves the resource query information earlier so
that it is available if collection preferences are changed.
4. Job parameter descriptions containing double quotes are
encoded for the job submit wizard.
5. Corrected the focus field for the File Transfer Services
panel.
