Error description

The Profile Management Tool for z/OS Version 7.0 sometimes
fails to display the instructions for the selected
Customization Definition within the Customization Instructions
view on Linux systems. This problem is usually caused by a
failure to have a browser configured in a manner that
satisfies the Eclipse configuration requirements for its
internal browser. Refer to the "known issues" section of the
IBM WebSphere Customization Tools V7.0 for Linux download site

Local fix

The work around is to get the path name of the instructions
file from the Customization Summary view and use a browser
of your choice to display the instructions.

For some Linux configurations, the "Customization
Instructions" and "Migration Instructions" views within the
WebSphere Customization Tools 7.0 may not display the
instructions for the selected definition. This issue is
usually caused by an unsatisfied configuration requirement
(for the Eclipse internal browser) in the hosting Linux
environment. Details on this issue are documented
under "Known Issues with WebSphere Customization Tools" on the
"IBM WebSphere Customization Tools V7.0 for Linux" download
site, which is located at

Problem conclusion

WebSphere Customization Tools V7.0 will be updated to detect
Linux configurations that will not support the use of the
Eclipse internal browser to display instructions in the
"Customization Instructions" and "Migration Instructions"
views. In this case, the "Customization Instructions" and
"Migration Instructions" views will contain a button that will
allow the user to display the respective instructions in an
external browser window.

APAR PK75245 is currently targeted for inclusion in
Service Level 7.0.0.5  of WebSphere Customization Tools.
